Seattle Women’s Chorus opens its 2011-12 season in Renton

Seats only $10 includes behind the scenes tour

Seattle Women’s Chorus opens its 2011-12 season Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center. The season celebrates the uniquely American phenomenon that is country music, with a special focus on female country music legends like Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Dixie Chicks, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, and Anne Murray.

The season is a series of preview performances where, for only $10 a seat, audiences can peek “behind the scenes” to see how we prepare a show for the main stage. These previews will be held at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center. Audiences will see/hear the Chorus fine-tune songs and staging for the upcoming show, and have a unique opportunity to engage with artistic director Dennis Coleman, as well as members of the Chorus, in an after-show audience discussion.

For tickets call the Box Office: 206-388-1400 <tel:206-388-1400> (Mon-Fri, Noon-7:00pm), or purchase at the door on the day of the preview.
