One-Day Crash Cinema Challenge Comes to Renton on March 30

The free event will challenge aspiring filmmakers to produce a 3-minute movie in one day.

Interested in filmmaking, but not sure how to get started? 

The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) will host a free 8-hour "crash cinema challenge" from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Renton History Museum.

The event is open to filmmakers of all ages. All participants will incorporate five elements into a 3-minute film, which must be finished by 5 p.m. Filmmakers are required to bring all their own equipment.

At 5 p.m., teams will hand over their films and assemble at the Renton Civic Theatre for a wrap party and screening. The film screening is also free and open to the public.
