New Art Exhibit Opens in Renton Sept. 21, Free to Public

Body Language is a new exhibit that explores gestures, postures, and movement through art that celebrates the human figure.

(SEATTLE) – Body Language, a new exhibit that explores gestures, postures, and movement through art that celebrates the human figure, and opens on Saturday, September 21 with a reception from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at The Lakeshore, located at 11448 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle.

Local Artist, Robert Welsh headlines the exhibit. Pursuing passion through artistic expression is nothing new for Welsh, who spent his career designing automobiles for Ford Motor Company, then airplane interiors for heads of state and the world’s leading airliners while at Boeing Company.  What is new to Welsh, who says that retirement has made him a fulltime artist, is putting his artistic work on exhibit.

“For me, the joy in painting comes when the struggles with drawing, design, value and color are finally subordinated to self expression and all my energy goes into making an emotional statement that hopefully makes a positive connection with my viewer,” said Welsh.
