Tree Lighting & Train Rides at The Landing

The Landing in Renton is kicking off the holiday season with annual tree lighting ceremony.

Come celebrate a fun-filled, family-focused evening with live music from local choral groups, live reindeer and face painting.

Bundle up in your coziest coat and scarf, gather your friends and family and head down to The Landing – it’s time for the holidays! Come join us to celebrate the season with the tree lighting ceremony kickoff event…The Landing is also now offering train rides on Saturdays in December.

WHEN:  Saturday, November 19th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.                   

4:00 p.m.  Festivities kick-off at the plaza in front of Regal Cinema

6:00 p.m.  Lighting of the impressive 40ft Tree

ACTIVITIES:     A variety of exciting activities from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. will entertain the little ones, including holiday face painters, talented balloon artists, train rides and live reindeer, courtesy of Cougar Mountain Zoo.

LIVE MUSIC:    Local youth choirs from Liberty High School, Maywood Middle School, Newcastle Elementary School will be performing your favorite carols to get you into the holiday spirit beginning at 4:00 p.m. The Salvation Army Brass Band is also scheduled to perform from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m.
