Celebration of Purple Prose—Old Renton Book Exchange

Please join us for the first of what we hope will become an ORBE tradition; A Celebration of Purple Prose! For our first event that celebrates writing that is so bad it's good we will be staging dramatic readings of the earlier works of Eric Van Lustbader in an event we are tenatively calling "White Ninja/White Russians". Our special guest readers will be 'performing' pieces from Lustbader's "The Ninja", "The Miko" and "White Ninja". We will be serving/drinking (probably heavily) White Russians and are encouraging guests to bring vodka or really anything you want to drink. We will be providing Kahlua, half & half, ice and cups for cocktails. Really this is just an excuse to get loaded and buy lots of books while laughing very hard at some seriously bad writing! The fun will begin at closing time or 7 pm. We hope you can make it!
