Where To Find Spirited Halloween Displays In Renton

Do you decorate your home for the holidays? We want to feature it on Patch!

Halloween is the event that kicks off a six-month run of decoration holidays.

Pumpkins give way to Thanksgiving turkeys, then holiday wreaths, New Year's glitz, and heart shapes for . By March, some of the decorating steam has dissipated, but there’s a notable surge in green for St. Patrick’s Day and, finally chicks, bunnies and colored eggs abound for Easter.

Patch wants to share in your love of decorating, so let’s see what you’ve got. Each week from now until Halloween, we’ll post the places to see and enjoy decorations around Renton.

This week, our featured location is the home of Eachean and Stephanie Edmundson at 3606 Meadow Ave. N., 98056 in the Kennydale neighborhood.

“It was a family affair,” Eachean said of the decorating process, which included children Milo, 6, and Mabry, 4. “We had some art paper laying around, and we started painting monsters.”

Those monsters now occupy their home’s windows, and the rest of the decorations fell into place over the next day, he said.

Many of their neighbors have decorated, too, including a large “mock cemetery” display near the corner of Park Ave. and 34th, he said.
