Finally, a splash of good news for cash-strapped eastside drivers: Gas prices are on the decline in Washington state.
Even better: the price of regular in Renton ($3.69 at the ) beats out the statewide average $4 average price-per-gallon.
Bad news is, the national average is $3.53, so Washington state drivers are paying — on average — 54-cents more per gallon than drivers across the country.
There’s no telling if the prices at the pump will continue on this welcome decline, but let’s hope so.
Seattle-area gas prices have dropped from an average of $4.33 a gallon this time last month to $4 earlier this week. That’s a 33-cent difference.
According to our handy gas price finder (click on the “commute” button near the top of the Renton Patch homepage) prices range from $3.69-$3.99.
