  • Where/When: 5-7:30 p.m. Fri, Sept 16 at .
  • Why Go: Start your weekend off with a free beer and wine tasting at All Things Wine this Friday. The free tasting will feature four Spanish wines and two beers that will be selected the day of the tasting.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Sunday at the Puyallup Fair Grounds.
  • Why Go: The Puyallup Fair is back! So grab your friends and family and head to Puyallup for all the attractions you'd expect plus a few extras. Activities and entertainment include animal shows, 4-H and FFA students competing, grange displays, home arts cooking contests and quilts, the International Photo Exhibition that draws entries from all corners of the globe, Hobby Hall, floral designs, and rides, including the new thrill ride, Vertigo. Patch will has a booth at the Fair this year (our last day there is TODAY, Sept. 15) so be sure to stop by to say hi while you pick up some free Patch swag and enter to win an iPad2.
  • Cost: Admission ranges from $9 to $11. Kids under 5 are free.

 

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sat, Sept 17 at the Sunset Community Garden, across from the in Renton.
  • Why Go:If garage sale shopping is on your to-do list this weekend, you may want to check out the rummage sale/fundraiser going on at the Sunset Community Garden this Saturday. Expect to find used clothing, small household appliances, books, children's toys, sports equipment, bicycles and more.
  • Cost: Admission is free. All proceeds from the sale will go to Sustainable Renton and their mission to foster a healthier community and planet. Items not sold by the end of the sale will be donated to Goodwill.

 

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. Sat, Sept 17 at the .
  • Why Go: Use this Saturday to learn a little bit about Renton's past at this free tour of the Renton History Musuem. You'll get a first hand look at some of the 90,000 photo's, books, and collections of coal mining and fire-fighting artifacts that help document Renton's History. The tour is appropriate for elementary students through adults.
  • Cost: Free. No reservations necessary, unless there are more then five people in your group.

 

  • Where/When: 12-4 p.m. Sun, Sept 18 day, off Talbot Road in the parking lot adjacent to the Talbot Professional Center at 4011 Talbot Road South.
  • Why Go: This Sunday is the last farmers market at VMC of the season. So make it out to the market and treat yourself and your family to fresh produce and learn about healthy eating before it's gone.
  • Cost: Admission is free.

 

Seahawks vs. Steelers

  • Where/When:  10 a.m. Sun, Sept. 18 at Classics Sports Bar in Renton.
  • Why Go: Come root on the hawks this Sunday morning at the Classics Sports Bar as they take on everyone's favorite team to hate, the Pittsburg Steelers! The Classics has TV's scattered throughout the bar and tons of home fans too root along with. Go Seahawks!
  • Cost: No cover.
