  • Why Go: Live music with no cover, right in downtown Renton! Enjoy beer or wine with dinner or small plates. All 'tips' are donated to charitable organizations. .
  • Pricing: Free + cost of food and drinks

 

  • When/Where: Saturday, May 12, 2012, 9 a.m.-noon near Devil's Elbow.
  • Why go: Spend the morning cleaning trails and learn more about rentontrails.org. Volunteers are asked to park at Kennydale Hall 2424 NE 27th Renton, WA 98056. .
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • When/Where: Saturday, May 12, 2012, noon-2 p.m. at 17320 121st Ln. SE.
  • Why go: Local resident Trevor Duncan has organized a neighborhood trash pick-up for the area of SE Petrovinsky Rd. between 120th and Benson Rd. (108th). His company, Cell Seattle is sponsoring the event by providing trash bags, gloves, and yard tools to get the job done.
  • Cost: Free.

 

 

  • When/Where:Saturday, May 12, 6 p.m., , 507 S 3rd St.
  • Why go: Join us for a double-feature screening of 2 subculture documentary films with director Q&A after each! "Faire: An American Renaissance" will screen first at 6:00, followed by "Journey to the Flames: 11 Years of Burning Man" after at 8:30...we'll even hit a local bar after for cocktails with the director!
  • Cost: Tickets are: $10 at the door, $9 in advance, or $15 for the double-feature.

 

MackDaddy & the Soul Streams—live

  • When/Where: Saturday, May 12, 8-11 p.m., at the
  • Why go: Catch MackDaddy & the Soul Streams live. From the band: "We take the blues, mix in some soul and rock, flavor it with some jazz and just a hint of space dust, and serve up some tasty tunes."
  • Cost: No cover + cost of food/beverges.

 

  • Where/When: Meet at , 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 13 in front of , ready to run!
  • Why Go: Run off all that good ol' Irish food and drink, and make new running-buddy friends. Get there early, or stay late and check out all the running goodies available for purchase, including a clown-like shoe called the Hoka.
