Construction Starts Soon on Accessible Playground

Meadow Crest is the name of the new facility in the North Highlands.

Editor's note: Information provided by city of Renton Community Services.

The design is almost complete and construction will start in a few short months for the new accessible playground in the North Highlands neighborhood.

And there's an official name, Meadow Crest Playground. This exciting joint development between the City of Renton and the Renton School District shares property between the new Meadow Crest Early Learning Center (formerly Hillcrest Early Childhood Learning Center), opening September 2013, and the North Highlands Neighborhood Center.

Usually accessible playgrounds are a disaster - nothing but ramps and meandering colorful sidewalks. This actually looks like good stuff. Well done.
