It was another record Return to Renton Car Show Sunday, with 480 vehicles and more than 5,000 in attendance.
Best of Show was won by Val Pipkin a 1971 Plymouth Barrcuda.Β People's Choice was won by Gary Baken, a 1965 Buick 225.
The Return to Renton was started in 1991, by local classic car enthusiasts Ben and Nancy Remak who recognized the need for a local car show. They had a soft spot for youth, and organized a show that would benefit youth programs provided by the Renton Police Department.
The First Annual Return to Renton Car Show and Cruise-In was hosted at the Renton Holiday Inn, and was a resounding success. With the support of local businesses, residents, and organizations such as the Renton Chamber of Commerce and the Piazza Renton Organization, the Return to Renton Car Show and Cruise-In has celebrated 23 successful years.Β
