10th Season of Renton Farmers Market Kicks Off With Rain

The weather held out for the opening bell-ringing, before driving rain moved in.

Mayor Denis Law and Toni Nelson, former City Council member and Renton Farmers Market founder, rang in the 10th Market season minutes before Tuesday's afternoon rainshower.

More than 250 market-goers attended the opening ceremony before mingling among the 55-plus vendors.

The sudden downpour did not damped the spirits of the attendees, who continued to shop and dine at the outdoor market.
