West Hill Community coming together Saturdayfor Health, Safety and Back to School

(SEATTLE, WASH) – Community organizations including King County Fire District 20 (Skyway Fire) will be on hand this coming Saturday, August 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the annual Health and Safety Fair at KCFD 20 Fire and Training Center (12424 76 South, Seattle, Wa 98178). The fair is also partnering with the Alajawan Brown Foundation for free backpacks to kids who will return to school in the coming weeks.

The event is free and includes free health screenings; test your skills at becoming a firefighter in the fitness challenge; free bike helmets (subject to size availability) and other community resources and activities.

Each child receiving a backpack MUST be present during distribution, which will be first come, first served while supplies last.

Where – King County Fire District 20 Fire Training and Admin Center (12424 76 Ave South, Seattle).

Parking – Free parking across the street, north of the Fire Station.

History – This is the third year of this event, which was originally started by King County Fire District 20 in Skyway Park. Last year the Alajawan Brown Foundation and many community organizations like Skyway Solutions, West Hill Community Association and Renton School District added to the event, which is attended by hundreds and has increased each year.
