Free Breakfast for Renton Seniors Saturday

Renton seniors can enjoy a free Breakfast cooked by the Knights of Columbus Renton Councils at the Renton Senior Activity Center on Saturday, March 15, from 8-10:30 am.

The Knights’ 29th annual Renton breakfast will feature pancakes, eggs, sausages, fruit and assorted beverages. The annual breakfast, prepared and served by Knights of Columbus volunteers from St. Anthony and St. Stephen the Martyr Parishes, honors seniors for the many ways they contribute to making Renton a great community to live.

The Knights of Columbus have served the annual breakfast since 1986.

“We do this breakfast as part of our mission to serve the community,” said Miguel Quiroz, Grand Knight of the Knights of Council at St. Anthony Parish. “It is usually on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day and is a fun time for attendees and volunteers.”

Dan Kellogg, longtime Estate Attorney in Renton and Kent, http://www.dankellogg.com/ contributed funding for the food for the event and has done so for the prior two years. The Knights of Columbus thanks him for this support.

Planning and coordination for this breakfast involves cooperation from the City of Renton for providing the facilities. A great collaboration of two Knights of Columbus Councils in Renton, a community businessman, and the City of Renton makes this year’s breakfast possible. This event is another example of how Renton is ahead of the Curve!
